Senior Tax Advisor - Corporate Tax and Taxation of Banking Business
Location: Zurich Position Type: Permanent Provide effective, responsive, risk assessed and solution based tax support to all front office areas (Private Banking, Investment Banking and Asset Management) Key contact for tax issues of Credit Suisse group entities with focus on the Taxation of the Banking Business and Product Development Review and sign-off of new business activities (managing the assessment, approval, implementation and control phases of projects and initiatives) Coordination and participation in international tax projects within international teams and working groups Provide technical and reputational tax risk input to Tax and CFO management Develop areas of competence in selected tax areas, such as for example US Qualified Intermediary system, US FATCA system, EU savings directive regime etc. Represent the tax function within the bank, including close collaboration with other functional support areas such as Accounting, Treasury, Legal & Compliance the various Business Lines and Tax colleagues in other regions (i.e. UK, USA or Asia/Pacific). Senior Operational Risk Controller - Regulatory Reporting Quality Assurance
A challenging and varied senior role in the global Financial Accounting Operational Risk Control & SOX 404 Compliance team, establishing and leading the new regional Regulatory Reporting Quality Assurance (RRQA) function for Switzerland and potentially other EMEA countries The opportunity to being a part of a global and diverse team with high Senior Management and ExB visibility, contributing significantly through regional risk weighting, optimization and streamlining of controls The responsibility for regionally establishing and executing a new Regulatory Reporting Quality Assurance program designed to test the completeness and accuracy of regulatory reports and monitoring of controls within the regulatory reporting production process Work with regional management to develop a dashboard highlighting key testing metrics/testing results Develop and communicate recommendations for improvement to senior management Ensure RRQA tools (i.e., testing methodology, operating procedures, checklist) are up to date and aligned with regulator’s expectations Train, develop and manage staff that will be directly responsible performing RRQA work, including supervising RRQA mandates performed by junior team members Conduct workshops/meetings educating key stakeholders on regulatory reporting impact and issues Provide subject matter expertise in interpreting regulatory impact of issues (e.g., new business, system changes) University degree or equivalent, preferably with a major/qualification in Finance or Accounting Minimum 7-10 years of relevant experience with regulatory reporting processes (either directly in the operations of these processes or in an audit or examination capacity) Knowledge of key regulatory requirements pertinent to the financial services industry; risk management techniques and compliance requirements Strong analytical and communication skills Ability to lead a team and to effectively communicate with finance management, audit and regulators on regulatory matters, such as weaknesses that were identified during RRQA reviews and proposals to improve the relevant process/internal control environment, etc. |
